AVAILABLE for 2017-2018 School Year:
The President-Elect is an extremely important position and nomination. Not only will this person work closely with the PTA next year but he/she will also take over as PTA President for the following two years. For this first year, the President-Elect will work closely with the current President: organizing events, networking with parents and school staff, learning the inter-workings of what responsibilities the PTA President has to handle, working closely with the rest of the PTA Board including working with budget, principal meetings and more.
Other responsibilities: monthly PTA meetings, regular email correspondence, ability to take on new tasks and lead teams, other regular school meetings (including Site Council and Committee Meetings as needed) and every 6-8 weeks board meeting.
Family Night Out Coordinator:
Coordinate Family Night Out events throughout the year (ie: McMenamins, Meating Place, Rock Creek Corner, Pizzacato, etc.) Work with Foundation board members.
Work with families to find out needs and coordinate guest speakers or small group discussions on varies topics. Work with our Parent Support Group Chair.
Literacy Night** (new) :
Plan, coordinate and execute a family literacy night
STEM Night** (new) :
We’d like to launch our first STEM night this spring. Looking for someone to head up the family night and grow a team to support the event. **Possible Grant opportunity available!
Scholastic Book Fair **seeking a shadow to take over the following year
Skyline Stewards** seeking a shadow for coming years
Health & Safety Team :
We already have quite a crew that are working on our health and safety pieces for the school including: Earthquake preparedness, Generator, Playground. I would like to continue expanding on this committee and officially have them work with PTA so we can get updates and have point contacts when issues arises.
PTA Meeting Caregiver (College students/Grandparents?):
Attend monthly PTA meetings to cover childcare. We ideally would like 2 adults for this position. Could be a grandparent, college student, local community member, etc. We are able to “gift” a $25 gift card for service. Meetings start at 6pm and go until about 8-8:30 (end of Foundation meeting).

9/21, 10/19, 11/16, 1/18, 2/15, 3/15, 4/19, 5/17
